CHAUVET®, a leading manufacturer of LED lighting, announced 40 CHAUVET® fixtures were used at this year’s Miami Music Week and Ultra Music Festival—including Swedish House Mafia’s “Masquerade Motel”.

Four Legend™ 300E Spot and two Legend™ 300E Beam LED moving heads surrounded a tent where party goers danced to the electronica mixes of DJs Sam Zarif, Sleepy & Boo, Nervo, Joris Voorn, Sharam, Kaskade, James Zabiela, Pete Tong, Luciano, Richie Hawtin, and Riva Starr at Pete Tong’s Pool Party hosted by Surfcomber Hotel in South Beach.

More than 30 COLORado™ 1 IP and COLORado™ VW Tour  LED wash lights also took the stage at Pete Tong’s Pool Party, illuminating the DJ booth, VIP area, and balconies of the hotel bringing life to the house-techno ambiance of the event.

Another of the biggest and most notorious Miami Music Week 2011 events, Swedish House Mafia’s “Masquerade Motel,” also used four CHAUVET® laser effect fixtures. Swedish House Mafia’s masked fans in the VIP area experienced the sound activated blue and green beam laser effects of the Scorpion™ GBC and Scorpion™ Storm FX  fixtures as they partied to the unique electronica sounds of the Swedish trio.

The “Masquerade Motel” is also known as Swedish House Mafia’s “One Night Stand” and took over nearly three full blocks of sandy beach shore where a gigantic white tent was set between 7th street and Ocean Drive in Miami Beach.  Axwell, Ingrosso, and Angello opened with their 2010 hit “Miami 2 Ibiza” and performed other hits such as “King is Heart” and “Nothing but Love,” to name a few.  In addition to LED lighting, the stage housing the trio also provided a spectacular show of fireworks that excited the audience.

CHAUVET® fixtures for Pete Tong’s Pool Party and Swedish House Mafia’s “Masquerade Motel” were specified by Nick Assunto of Visual Formula, a Miami-based professional audio-visual design and lighting control company.
