As a record-breaking 88,128 attendees converged last week for the Winter NAMM show; the largest music product trade show in the world, GCI Technologies was on-hand unveiling a wealth of new and innovative products from all brands (Gemini, Cortex and iKEY-Audio), as well as providing high energy live demo’s and performances from top notch LA DJ’s/Remixers and Musicians.
Attendee’s and press alike poured in to experience the high-energy and creativity of the premier Professional DJ/MC, Charles Bernard, as he unveiled and demonstrated the DJ Industry’s first standard sized tabletop Professional USB-compatible Digital Music Turntable; the Cortex HDTT-5000. www.cortex-pro.com
Gemini was on board proudly introducing Groove, their new complete and reliable Professional Mixing Software that offers the total live performance that’s easy enough to use for the beginner, but with all the features the pros need and want. Also well received were Gemini’s new CDJ Professional Table Top CD Players and the new CDMP Professional DJ CD Players with built-in USB inputs for optimum digital connection. www.geminidj.com
Thanks to the M-Series (iKEY-Audio’s premier line of Active Studio Monitors www.ikey-audio.com) providing the sound, the whole booth roared with the performances of Gemini’s own DJ Journey and DJ Jacquie Jack, who showcased their undeniable ability to blend diverse beats and mix musical genres from across the board on their Gemini CDT-05 turntables.
If that wasn’t enough, visitors were also entertained by a surprise jam session by Rock Musicians/Producers Alestar Digby and Tobi Hero Wilson, who jammed out, all the while being recorded with accuracy on the iKEY Plus Professional USB Portable Recording Device, the most convenient real-time recording tool on the market.
“The show was amazing,” raved Alan Cabasso, President of GCI Technologies. “We had tons of booth traffic and a lot of meetings with our dealers, which is always great. “The vibe this year was some of the most optimistic that I’ve ever seen.”
