CHAUVET®, a leading manufacturer of professional lighting, had 12 CHAUVET® COLORado™ 1 illuminate the backdrop of the runway for SwimShow 2011, the world’s largest and most important swimwear trade show, held last July at the Miami Beach Convention Center, in the heart of trendy South Beach.
SwimShow 2011 coincided with the annual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim, an invitation only event that provides a runway platform for designers’ swimwear and resort collections. The Swimwear Association of Florida offers SwimShow as an opportunity for 2,000 buyers from the United States and 50 other countries to see the latest designs from 350 exhibitors during a weekend combining fashion, beauty, supermodels, and celebrities.
COLORado™ 1 LED wash lights feature RGB color mixing, providing a variety of colors during the fashion show. As the models strutted the runway, the lights and music changed to project different moods. After each particular segment, the room would become dark and the next color scheme would appear. The event began with a single up lighting of color, but as the show progressed, the lighting became brighter and exciting, using a mixture of red, orange, yellow, blue and purple.
