CHAUVET®, a leading manufacturer of professional lighting, announces the sponsorship of major event components at The 2011 DJ Expo taking place August 8 – 11 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. This announcement coincides with the launch of the manufacturer’s new contest, strongly utilizing social media sites, called: “$3K Social: We have $3K that says you’ll like us.”
The 2011 DJ Expo, presented by DJ Times, hosts over 25 educational seminars and features top audio, lighting, studio and specialty product manufacturers who offer the latest in cutting-edge technology. This year, CHAUVET® is able to be in the spotlight at one of the most exciting DJ trade shows in the U.S.
Together with Denon DJ, CHAUVET® is hosting one of the show’s most anticipated events—the Promo Only party. This sponsorship marks the first time in DJ Expo history that a lighting manufacturer is co-hosting the elite party where major talents have previously performed. In addition to the Promo Only party, CHAUVET® is also sponsoring the show’s main stage and two seminars. The DJ Times Square Stage, where high-profile artists in the industry perform, features an enormous stage illuminated with top of the line CHAUVET® fixtures. As a seminar sponsor, CHAUVET® will deliver two informative classes on ShowXpress™ , a software program that turns almost any computer into a lighting console. Allan Reiss, CHAUVET® club and DJ product manager, will host two seminars on August 9th: SX Education 101 at 12:30 p.m. and SX Education 201 at 1:30 p.m. SX Education 101 is an entry level seminar that covers basic DMX and explains how to create, store, control and play back a light show. SX Education 201 is an advanced class that covers programming, MIDI triggering, on-the-fly manipulations, layering and creating complex scenes and effects.
While at the show, CHAUVET® will unveil six new products at the Music Trends booth (#713), hosted by CHAUVET®.
Throughout the show, attendants are encouraged to take part in CHAUVET®’s new contest, “$3K Social: We have $3K that says you’ll like us.” Contestants enter by liking (http://www.facebook.com/chauvetlighting), subscribing (http://www.youtube.com/chauvetlighting) or following (http://twitter.com/chauvetlighting) one of the manufacturer’s social media sites and are eligible to win $3,000 in prizes. There will be 50 winners in all, but only one grand prize winner will be chosen. The grand prize winner will be announced on August 11, 2011, the last day of the trade show, at 2 p.m.
