ADJ Draws Appreciative Crowd To Open House

Published Apr 9, 2013

A crowd of roughly 150 DJs were treated to a good time and some good bits of knowledge too at the ADJ Open House in early March. Part of ADJ’s ongoing commitment of “growing the market through education,” the day-long event, which took place at the company’s state-of-the-art showroom, featured informative (non-sales driven) seminars, hands-on demos, and an eye-popping programmed lightshow, as well as a catered buffet-style food, and abundant networking opportunities.

“The Open House is consistent with our company philosophy, which is built on more than just selling products; it’s about working with our customers to help them grow their businesses, so we can prosper together,” said Alfred Gonzales, National Sales Manager of ADJ.

Another highlight was Chuck Green’s live recording of “Under The Hood,” his popular ADJ online series of educational presentations.  At his seminar, Green demonstrated how ADJ products work, not only in the traditional sense, but by physically dismantling them to give customers an inside view of the products they invest in.

Other seminars run at the ADJ Open House, (which focused on education and career building instead of product-pushing) included:

·         American Audio MIDI Controller How To - by DJ Etronik

·         Intro to myDMX 2.0 and DMX 101

·         Elation Professional Controllers

ADJ employees, who are more accustomed to taking their show on the road for conventions and summer tours, gladly catered to their visiting crowd of consumers.  The staff participated by running live, hands-on demos for guests; taking the time to answer questions and get direct feedback from their customers.  Attendees were treated to the pure lighting excitement of an eye-popping, synchronized lightshow featuring ADJ’s newest and most relevant lighting products.  Guests also had the opportunity for one-on-one networking with over 150 other California industry members.

“We were thrilled to host this fun and educational event right in our own back yard,” said Brian Dowdle, Marketing Manager for ADJ.  “Many of our new products have become so technologically advanced that the only way to demonstrate their full capability is to show them directly to our customers in hands-on demos and seminars.  The Open House allowed us to connect personally with our customers.  We had the chance to show them the advanced features and multi-functions of our new products and get instant feedback.”
