Visiosonic, Ltd., (www.pcdj.com), announced the release of PCDJ KJ, a Virtual Rack Module (VRM) plug-in for the company’s PCDJ FX professional dual-channel MP3 player. PCDJ KJ works with Visiosonic’s FX software -- or as a stand-alone application with basic functionality -- to give DJs and MCs the ability to play Karaoke songs on their PCs in MP3+G and WMA+G file formats. PCDJ KJ, which incorporates Visiosonic’s extremely stable PCDJ sound engine and state-of-the-art DJ features, can be downloaded at the company’s home page. The boxed version will hit the retail channel November 1 with a suggested retail price of $199.00.

“With PCDJ KJ, PCDJ users wanting to add karaoke capability to their entertainment lineup will no longer need to tote boxes of CDs or swap between a DJ program and a karaoke program on their PCs,” said Visiosonic’s COO, David Oak. PCDJ KJ lets users instantly access, search, load, and play Karaoke songs quickly and easily within PCDJ FX’s record case. DJs can even automatically fire off either of the PCDJ FX players as background while singers make their way to the microphone. Words to the songs appear in a floating window in the KJ module, which can be output to a second window on an additional monitor.

PCDJ KJ operates using Visiosonic’s new VRM technology, which allows the DJ to build additional components into their PCDJ FX software. With VRM technology, the DJ can operate a multitude of features within the same interface making PCDJ one of the most powerful music applications on the market today.
