Forget about fumbling with tiny flashlights and little clip-on lamps to illuminate your DJ rack setup. American DJ has found a more creative way for DJs to see in the dark with the new Rack Color LED, a rack-mountable 19” LED bar. Equipped with 24 colored LEDs, the Rack Color LED does more than just light up all your gear for you — it adds excitement and style to your overall lighting presentation.

Capable of producing 8 different colors, the Rack Color LED significantly enhances the ambience surrounding DJs, effectively taking them out of the darkness and making their setup part of the lightshow. It comes with an RC-1 infrared remote that gives DJs complete control over color changing, brightness, fade and speed from anywhere within the room.

The Rack Color LED features the following colors: red, cyan, green, magenta, blue, yellow, white and amber. It also includes an eye-popping rainbow pattern effect looks great in just about any DJ environment, from small private parties to weddings to large nightclub settings.

Since LEDs generate no heat, the Rack Color LED will help DJ racks stay cool and won’t damage sensitive gear in its vicinity. LEDs draw very little power, so you won’t see much difference in your electric bills or run any additional risk of circuit overload. And the unit’s 24 super-long-life LEDs will probably never burn out or need replacing, so it’s completely low-maintenance.

The Rack Color LED is incredibly easy to operate, too — just plug it in, choose your settings on the remote and let it run all night. Multiple units can be linked together and operated in a master–slave configuration. It even comes with its own 12V DC power supply.

The Rack Color LED is a single rackspace unit (1U) measuring 3” x 19” x 2”. At just 1.5 lbs., it doesn’t add much weight to your rack and transports easily.
