American DJ has given the strobe, the popular lighting effect of the ‘60s and ‘70s, a 21st-century makeover by injecting it with LED technology. The company has introduced the Color Shot, an LED DMX-compatible strobe light, featuring RGB color mixing to create flashing effects in virtually any imaginable color.

Great for DJs, bands and nightclubs, the Color Shot takes strobe lighting into the world of technicolor. Featuring RGB color mixing, a system that combines red, green and blue light emitting diodes, the Color Shot allows users to create flickering effects in virtually any hue they desire without the use of color lenses. The Color Shot is DMX compatible, allowing DJs to control the color and speed of their strobe from any standard DMX-512 console.

In addition to RGB color mixing, the Color Shot delivers the many other benefits of LED lighting. Very economical to operate, the fixture runs on low voltage and draws very little power. The exceptionally long operating life of the LEDs also saves users the hassle and expense of bulb replacement.

Another benefit of LED technology is that it creates limited UV emissions, which allows the fixture to remain cool while being operated, minimizing heat on the dance floor. Featuring 3 DMX channels, the Color Shot allows users to customize the speed and color shade of the effects using a standard DMX-512 controller. In Sound Active Mode, the strobe creates an energizing light show by flashing along to the beat of the music via its own internal programs.
