Gemini Shows Off New Look and New Product at 2011 DJ Expo

Published Aug 18, 2011

The clubs, the beach, the boardwalk, the casinos – it’s the perfect setting for the largest exhibition devoted to DJs, their gear and their trade. That’s right, the 2011 DJ Expo invaded Atlantic City with a staggering crew of artists, manufacturers, distributors, publications and producers. The industry’s biggest names were out in full force, and Gemini was in the heart of the action, building a huge presence on the show floor with a new booth and new products that had all attendees buzzing.

Hype, expectations and anticipation surrounded Gemini’s CDJ-700, which was featured on the cover of the DJ Expo edition of DJ Times. The Gemini booth was mobbed with DJs looking to give the new units a test spin, and their responses were overwhelming:

“I need one… like now. This thing is awesome!” “The CDJ-700 gives you the most bang for your buck. Nothing else comes close.” “I was skeptical, but you guys really nailed it. You turned me into a believer.”

I need one… like now. This thing is awesome!

Daily giveaways, product demos and performances from DJ Journey kept Gemini’s booth traffic heavy throughout the show, while visits from Lil Jon, DJ Skribble and DJ Qbert also attracted big crowds. And even outside the expo’s walls – in the casinos, on the boardwalk and at the clubs – the Gemini name was proudly flaunted on shirts, headphones and other gear.

“Every year, DJs keep coming back to make this an epic event,” says Alan Cabasso, President of GCI Technologies. “Gemini is proud to work in an industry where there’s so much participation and support. Since the 1970s, our customers have helped us grow and evolve, so we’re grateful for any opportunity to interact with them.”
