Gem Sound is pleased to announce the PXA-250, a powered PA monitor with multiple inputs. The PXA-250 uses a 15” woofer with high temperature voice coil and a high compression horn driver. An internal 200-watt amplifier powers both woofer and horn through a superior Tacate™ crossover network for optimal efficiency. A high-impact plastic cabinet features heavy duty handles and a pole mount adapter.
In addition to line inputs on balanced XLR or dual RCA, the PXA-250 offers two additional microphone inputs on XLR or 1/4” jacks. Three knobs control separate volumes for the line source and two microphone sources, offering added mixing flexibility without the need for an external mixer. There are also master bass, treble, and volume controls.
Frequency response is 32Hz-18kHz, power is switchable between 115 and 230 volts, and impedance is 8 ohms. The dimensions are 30.5”H x 19.5”W x 18.5”D and the PXA-250 weighs 59lbs. The PX-250 passive model is also available and weighs 49lbs.
Gem Sound Vice President George Dertinger commented: “While these speakers are incredibly affordable, their sound quality rivals speakers costing twice the price. They are rugged, loud, and flexible, and are well within reach of the budget-conscious consumer who needs a solid PA solution.”
The Gem Sound PXA-250 active and PX-250 passive monitors are now shipping with MSRPs of $229.95 and $179.95 respectively.
