Known for providing exceptional value in wireless microphones, Gem Sound introduces the PLL-32, a 32-channel wireless microphone system featuring a built-in LCD and controls on the microphone transmitter. Frequencies can therefore be selected from the transmitter as well as the receiver. The PLL-32 provides extremely high quality of signal clarity due to its phase-locked loop (PLL) technology with diversity, superior UHF band operation, and built-in noise squelch circuitry.
The blue backlit LCD on the PLL-32 microphone transmitter displays channel, group, mute, and battery status. Built-in controls include up, down, set, and on/off. The microphone cartridge provides a frequency response optimized for vocals, and the solid microphone body minimizes handling noise. The microphone transmitter is powered by a 9V battery.
The receiver of the PLL-32 is housed in a half-rack aluminum unit with a large LCD display that indicates channel, group, audio level, RF level, diversity A/B antenna, and mute. Rear panel outputs include balanced XLR and ¼”. Two antennas offer diversity reception and function in a frequency range between 810.4 and 813.4 MHz.
Gem Sound Vice President George Dertinger commented: “The PLL-32 offers incredible performance and value. With 32 discreet channels available, and an LCD and controls built right into the microphone, it is easy to establish optimal signal connections and accommodate multiple performers.”
The Gem Sound PLL-32 is scheduled to ship in January 2005 with an MSRP of $199.95.
