Incorporating an isolating, closed-ear design, PHX features 50mm neodymium magnet drivers for very high output with full clarity and 20Hz to 20kHz frequency range. PHX comes with two styles of interchangeable ear pads—soft velour, and durable leather—which attach via a secure threading mechanism. Also included are three types of cables that fasten with metal threading: short, long, and coiled. A special two-part ear cup design incorporates a rubber/silicone casing for a comfortable and secure fit when resting between ear and shoulder while cueing. PHX headphones are also foldable and come in a premium hard carrying case with extra room for cartridges. In addition to being extremely robust, the PHX aesthetic design is influenced by Numark's award-winning flagship TTX1 turntable.
