Martin Professional A/S is proud to announce the hiring of Tony Browne as the new Managing Director of Martin UK.

Tony, 43, has more than 20 years of lighting industry experience and comes to Martin UK from a Specification Sales Director position at Zumtobel Lighting UK, where he focused on specification sales to architects and electrical designers the past 13 years.

“I have enjoyed building up a strong and competent sales team at Zumtobel UK, but am now ready for a new challenge at Martin,” Tony stated. “I am looking forward to a somewhat different market that has a huge potential, building on a very sound and successful structure already established in the UK. The MD position is the next logical step for me and I look forward to focusing my motivation and drive in order to make it a success.”

Tony, who holds an MBA in Leadership Studies from Strathclyde University in Glasgow, will start in the position on October 15, 2007.

Martin Professional A/S President and CEO, Christian Engsted, commented, “We are extremely happy to have Tony with his skill and motivation as our new head at Martin UK. Tony has a well-proven track record in sales from one of the industry’s most respected firms and is a natural fit to head our UK subsidiary. His years of experience within project- and concept selling and his focus on customer satisfaction, combined with the existing competence of our strong UK team, will be of great benefit to our customers within the entertainment market as well as the architectural market.”

Tony replaces Dave Caulfield, who headed Martin UK since 2003.
