DSS-X1 brings MP3/AAC playback
into the DJ's arsenal
Vestax has introduced a new
solid-state player that brings the popular MP3 and AAC file formats
into professional DJ applications, using the SmartMedia memory format.
The DSS-X1 is a rugged, reliable,
and versatile DJ-sized (or full-sized) digital playback system
capable of replaying digital audio files recorded with both the
popular MP3 (MPEG I Layer 3) codec and the high-quality AAC
compression algorithm, for very small files and superior audio quality.
Files are loaded into the DSS-X1
by means of compact, affordable SmartMedia memory cards. Fine pitch
control (+/-10%) is provided, along with comprehensive play, pause,
search, and scan functions. Loop sampling is made ultra-simple with
tap start, exit, and end buttons.
The DSS-X1 weighs 11lbs and
measures 18.98" (W) x 5.31" (H) x 8.66" (D), with a
suggested list price TBA.
