KINGDOM, October 25 / -- The Allen & Heath Xone:62 was voted
'Best Club Installation Mixer' for the second consecutive year
in DJ magazine's Techno-Scan Awards 2002. Less than twenty four hours
after the presentation dinner the award went missing from the PLASA exhibition.
Allen &
Heath's UK Sales Manager, Martin Daley, was presented with the
attractive glass award at Momo's Moroccan restaurant in London's
Piccadilly on September the 8th. As the awards were held during the
PLASA show (Earls Court Exhibition Centre, 8-11 Sept 2002), the
trophy was proudly displayed the next day beside a Xone:62 mixer on
Allen & Heath's stand. Within hours the award had disappeared
without trace.
The company did
find time to take a photo of Eitan Zilkha, owner of DJ equipment
dealer, Sapphires Sound and Light, holding the award. Sapphires
also won a Techno-Scan award in the DJ Retailer of the year category.
Eitan came to the stand to place the first dealer order for Allen
& Heath's new Xone:V6 rotary club mixer, which made its debut at PLASA.
DJ magazine has
now kindly arranged a replacement award to fill the vacant spot in
Allen & Heath's trophy cabinet.
