stage monitors and subwoofers make US debut
Whitinsville, MA-January
11, 2002- EAW will ring in the New Year with the debut of new
products at Winter NAMM (booth #6866) in Anaheim, CA. Show
attendees and the press community will experience the US debut of the
DCS8 subwoofer, a new addition to the popular Avalon club series, the
BH760 subwoofer, as well as two new stage monitors, the SM129z and SM159z.
"We are so pleased
to be kicking off our first tradeshow of the year with such a strong
showing of new products," said Karen Anderson, director of
marketing communications for EAW.
EAW BH760
The BH760 bent horn
subwoofer is engineered as both a companion to the KF760 Line Array
and for other applications requiring extremely high output at low
frequencies in a small package. The BH760 is designed to be
easily transportable with integral handles and an optional caster
pallet. Built-in skids on its top and bottom drop into recesses
on vertically adjacent enclosures preventing stacked enclosures from
sliding around. Its 45-in depth allows efficient, two-wide truck-packing.
DCS8/DCS8F
The newest addition to
the Avalon series is the DCS8 subwoofer. Designed with the same
foot print as the flagship DC1 system, the high performance DCS8's
mounting points line up perfectly with those of the DC1 system,
allowing it to be stacked or flown above and below a DC1 and steered
electronically down to the dance floor. This is very appealing
for clubs whose real estate comes at a premium but do not want this
factor to limit the quality of their sound system.
SM129z and SM159z
The SM129z and SM159z are
compact, professional loudspeakers designed for dual-purpose stage
monitor and PA use. Applications for the loudspeakers include
corporate events, theatres and houses of worship.
The SM129z features a
12-inch low frequency transducer that provides strong LF performance
while keeping the enclosure size modest for situations with limited
space. Integral mounting points accept a third party external
stand adapter for pole mounting.
The SM159z features a
15-inch low frequency transducer that generates a strong low end
without boominess, complemented by a 1-inch exit Neodymium HF
compression driver. The SM159z also features the same pole
mounting capabilities of the SM129z.
